Massachusetts Senate Votes To Raise Minimum Wage
The state senate has voted to increase the minimum wage from $8 to $11 an hour by the year 2016. The bill also adds other increases based on inflation.
The minimum wage hike would kick-in next July if it is approved by the state's house of representatives, and then signed by Governor Deval Patrick.
