If you have leftover Halloween candy you don't know what to do with, this is a great idea.

A Marblehead, Mass non-profit organization is packing up leftover Halloween candy and sending it overseas to our troops.

The group, "Calling All Patriots Troop Support", regularly sends care packages to troops stationed overseas. And according to NECN, this Halloween they've teamed up with the Marblehead Police Department to collect leftover Halloween candy for those care packages.

Plenty of people over buy on candy for the trick-or-treaters, so instead of hating yourself for binging on it, you can do good with your extra sweets and make a soldier smile.

If you want to help send candy to this non-profit, they are collecting until the end of the week.

You can also make your own care package of goodies and bring it to a local VA, like the one in New Bedford.
