Massachusetts Doesn’t Swear, But We Are Rude on the Phone

Congratulations to us here in Massachusetts when it comes to the use of curse words.   We rank second on the list of states where people swear the least. 

Washington is first, followed by Massachusetts, Arizona, Texas and Virginia.   However, according to some data released today, Massachusetts residents are not so nice when it comes to phone courtesy.  The state ranks seconds on the list of "least courteous" during phone calls.

More than half a million calls were scanned for curse words or other negative keywords.  Just wondering is many of those calls were between customers and their cable company.  That could explain our high ranking.
