Should Massachusetts allow liquor stores to be open on Thanksgiving?

There's a new proposed bill that would allow liquor store owners to open their stores here in Massachusetts on Thanksgiving.  According to Turnto10, the Massachusetts Package Stores Association testified against the bill at a hearing yesterday in Boston.  Workers and owners of some liquors stores here on the Southcoast agreed that they'd rather spend Thanksgiving with their families...but allowing stores to stay open would give an unfair advantage to big retailers.

The bill was proposed by liquor store owners near the New Hampshire border.  New Hampshire allows liquor sales on Thanksgiving.  Liquor stores here on the Southcoast aren't affected because Rhode Island does not allow liquor stores to be open on Thanksgiving.
