One of the most rememberable work stoppages on the South Coast and  in U.S.will soon be the subject of a new documentary film.

Director Jay Childs says "Food Fight: Inside the Battle for Market Basket" should be released in the fall. The film's first trailer was recently posted online.

The film chronicals the years long power struggle between cousins  Arthur T. Demoulas and Arthur S. Demoulas that came to a head last summer when thousands of workers at the Tewksbury, Massachusetts-based supermarket chain walked off the job. They wanted their beloved boss Arthur T. back after he lost control of the board to Arthur S. Never before have we seen employees rally around a CEO the way customers and employees did

Fiercely loyal customers sided with workers and boycotted Market Baskets location until Arthur T won control of the company. A year after the dispute, the company is thriving,

Market Basket, now with 75 stores in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, is on track to reach about $4.5 billion in sales this year, about the same or slightly better than last year,

The film should be released this summer
