Marion police said on Wednesday that they're searching for a man who had gauze wrapped around his head as he robbed a bank.

According to police, the man robbed Pilgrim Bank at 350 Front Street last Friday afternoon. The man gave the teller a note demanding money but dropped most of the money when he got into a struggle with a customer who attempted to stop him as the robber was leaving the bank.

The suspect is described as a white man between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a gray American Eagle T-shirt, blue jeans and a green and white Boston Celtics hat. In addition, he was wearing a gauze bandage around his head.

Marion police asked anyone with information about the robber to call Detective Scott Smith at 508-748-1212.
