Marion Hit And Run Leaves A Woman Hurt And Her Dog Dead

A 40-year-old woman from Marion was taken to Tobey Hospital and then Airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital after she was struck by a car while walking her two dogs.  It happened Sunday evening on County Road near the Wareham town line.   One of the dogs the woman was walking was killed, and the other was taken to a local veterinarian. 

The vehicle that hit the woman left the scene, but a few hours later Marion Police got some information about a possible suspect.   They found the car and arrested the drive, 22-year-old David Pujunen of Wareham.   He is charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident causing injury and a marked lanes violation.
