Imagine for a moment that you are on the train one morning. You're just trying to get to work on time when a man steps inside wearing a "Guy Fawkes" mask. His hands are covered with leather gloves and he's draped in a black leather coat. You're now on edge because something is clearly off about this man. It's not until he pulls out his phone and starts talking about a bomb that your heart feels like it will beat out of your chest.

According to MBTA police, 30-year-old Boston man Joseph Johnson was arrested for threatening to blow up an Orange Line train Wednesday morning. Rochelle Guarino was a witness who videotaped Johnson on her phone. "He kept turning left to right," Guarino said. "At one point, for a good minute, he saw me with the video and he just stared at me." For 20 minutes, the southbound train was held at the Back Bay Station to allow heavily-armed police to investigate the situation.

Johnson is expected to be arraigned today, Thursday, September 17th on charges of making a false bomb threat. I can't imagine the fear those passengers must have felt on that train. What would possess Johnson to pull something like this, we may never know. I am glad he's off the streets and hope he goes away for a long time.
