Man Gets Arrested For Digging Up Grave From Mid 1700’s In Salem, Massachusetts And Finds Top Of Crypt

A man from Salem, Massachusetts was arrested on Columbus Day after he was seen digging up dirt at a grave, uncovering the top of a crypt? Say what?

According to WCVB News, Brian Bennett, 26, of Beverly, was arrested Monday at the Old Burial Grounds, also known as Charter Street Cemetery.

Salem Police said Bennett dug up grass and dirt that revealed what appeared to the the top of a crypt. Bennett was charged with disorderly conduct and desecrating a place of burial.
