What happens when you combine golf and one of the world's most popular sports in soccer? Welcome to the wide world of footgolf.

Now, if you're like me, you're about to click on something else after you saw "golf", but wait just a minute.

Footgolf uses the basic idea of golf, but requires much less stupid golf knowledge to play, making it fun and awesome.

You play on a regular golf course, but you kick a soccer ball like you would hit a golf ball until you reach the hole.

Golf courses that want to bring in a different crowd simply make the holes large enough to fit a soccer ball, and violà, you've got a footgolf course.

There's no need to have a perfect swing and you don't need to decide which club to use, unless you want to change shoes for different distances for whatever reason. You just kick the ball.

They've even got an American FootGolf League, too. According to their website, the closest official footgolf course in the area is in Acton, Ma. So, if you don't want to make a road trip out of it, maybe you could try the sport out in a local park.

Just don't dig too many holes.
