Macklemore Not Happy With Oklahoma City Thunder Using ‘Can’t Hold Us’ To Pump Up Crowd
While hip hop and basketball have been associated together since the days of Kurtis Blow, but as it turns out some rappers aren’t fond of teams using their songs to help get the crowd going.
Macklemore does not like that the Oklahoma City Thunder are using his hit ‘Can’t Hold Us’ to pump up the crowd. Now politics aside, we’ve never really seen someone so upset over using a song, especially in this manner, so what is bringing this on?

For those of you who don’t know Macklemore happens to be from Seattle, where the OKC Thunder used to call home as the Seattle SuperSonics. Perhaps there is a bit of lingering anger from the teams move from Seattle to OKC back in 2008. It also doesn’t help that the Thunder are a sinking ship in the NBA playoffs right now.
