There's a local quilt from Fall River that is honoring those who have lost there lives to the ever growing opioid overdose problem here on the Southcoast.

According to FRC (Fall River Community) Media News, Niagra Neighborhood Association Vice President Helen Rego has began a project that is catching wind on our local community quickly. These Memorial quilts she is making does not represent those who have served, but rather those who have OD'd.

Rego tells FRC Media News that she hopes the quilt sends a message to all about the dangers of opioid use and that it goes viral.

The quilt is currently hanging in the lobby of the Government Center Lobby with photos and names of those from the Greater Fall River area who have recently lost their lives to this epidemic drug battle.
