Wanted Man Arrested After Manhunt

A man was arrested early Sunday morning after police say he attacked two women with a rifle.

Police were told by the two victims that Paul T. Boudria, 43, of Westport arrived to 505 Division Road drunk and angry on Saturday.

Boudria got into a physical confrontation with a 38-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter that involved using a .22 caliber rifle. He threatened shooting the 38-year-old woman before striking her in the abdomen with the end of the rifle.

The 13-year-old grabbed at the rifle, but was struck in the face by Boudria according to police.

The two women were transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

Boudria fled into the woods in his car, leading police on a search that lasted several hours. A state police K-9 team tracked Boudria and spotted him near his vehicle at 12:40 a.m.

Police from several South Coast towns along with State Police and Officers from a region swat team conducted the search which lead to the arrest. Police air wing units were also assisting
