Legoland Comes to Somerville- the First in New England!
If you’re a kid at heart (or you actually have kids), than you’ll love what’s opening in Somerville this Friday!
You can take a look at some Boston landmarks in the forms of Lego’s in the tweets below.
Bostinno.streetwise.co reports that Legoland Discovery Center Boston opens its doors this Friday, May 23 at the Assembly Row Development in Somerville, making it the first to ever open up in New England.
Guests will know they’ve arrived at the right place when they see the giant Lego-built giraffe that’s standing outside the doors.
The center is jam-packed with things to do for you and the kids. It has two floors, rides, a 4D cinema and a cafe.
Bostonians will also appreciate the Lego-built replica of Boston.
You’ll start with a video-led factory tour which is guided by two Lego-people tour guides. You’ll learn how Legos are built and your kids will even get the chance to build theirown!
After the tour is the first ride which is called Kingdom Quest and the goal is to use laser guns to fight off skeletons, monsters and of course, an angry dragon and to save the princess.
After the ride, you’ll end up in MiniLand, the mini replica of Boston which includes the Citgo sign, Fenway and Logan. And a replica isn’t complete without its special effects, and this one will include phases into day and night and fireworks.
The tour ends with families going into the play room with jungle gyms, and Lego building stations.
This seems like a great day trip to take with the kids, or even by yourselves and don’t forget to visit the gift shop!
