Latin King Member Arrested in Connection to New Bedford Murder

NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford man has been arrested in connection with a December murder.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says 21-year-old Joshua Lobo was ordered held without bail after being charged with intimidation of a witness and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

The DA's Office says Lobo was arrested Saturday in connection with the death of 21-year-old Justin Ortiz, who was shot in the head on December 27 in an apartment building on Tallman Street and died from his injuries on December 30.

Lobo is charged with misleading investigators.

Police say Lobo is a member of the Latin King gang.
