Knife Attack Results in One Arrest in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford man faces charges after allegedly injuring another person with a knife on Monday night.

Police were called to Stop and Save Gas at 129 Ashley Boulevard at around 11:53 p.m. on Monday for a report of an altercation between two people.

After an investigation, police determined that a man involved in the fight had used a knife, resulting in minor injuries to the other person.

Police arrested the man, Jose Rodriguez, 39, of 224 Allen Street, Apt. 2, New Bedford, and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and mayhem.
