This weekend marked King Richard's Faire's 33rd official season kick off.  This 80 acre forest in Carver, Massachusetts has become one of our most beloved day trips each fall. If you've never been before, make this the year you finally go- you'll be glad you did!

Grab some friends and get ready for a day that has become Game of Thrones meets ComicCon.  Not only are there more than1,000 costumed employees on hand (including jugglers, jesters, dancers, wenches, fire eaters and more) but the Faire's guests more often than not are dressed in their own time-piece costumes. You almost don't recognize who is an employee and who is a visitor because the quality of costumes are that good.

There's food (yes, options beyond the famous split-roasted turkey legs), beer, wine and more. Bring your grub over to the back field and catch a real jousting match between knights or get a few laughs in as beggars battle it out in the mud pit.
