Kilburn Fight Night Was a Knockout to Remember [PHOTOS]
The bell rang loud and the energy in the ring was electric.
Boxing returned to the SouthCoast as an entertainment empire at New Bedford's Kilburn Event Center, located at the Kilburn Mills at Clark's Cove, and it was certainly a night to remember.
On Saturday, February 9, 14 skilled amateur boxers entered the ring and seven were crowned victorious. Fighters traveled from all across Massachusetts and Rhode Island to match up against the ropes, striving to put their training to the test. From novice to Junior Olympic class, each boxer was professionally matched up and gave it their all.
Kilburn Fight Night hosted seven bouts and awarded trophies to each winner. At the end of the night, Jimmy Burchfield spoke to the crowd on behalf of the boxers, sponsors, and to all who attended the first of many boxing events at the Kilburn Event Center.
