Men's Warehouse recently fired its founder and executive chairman George Zimmer, the man seen in all those TV commercials saying "You're going to like the way you look."  Today, the company announced that they are buying the Joseph Abboud brand for about $97.5 million in cash.

Joseph's Abboud's U.S. factory is on Belleville Avue and employs about 450 people.  Abbound branded products are sold in department and specialty stores here in the U.S. and in more than 50 other countries.

Joseph Abboud has served as chief creative director at Men's Warehouse since last December.  Other brands in the sale include Joseph Abboud Boys, Joseph Abbound Home and Joe Joseph Abboud.

Men's Warehouse has 1,141 stores.  CEO Doug Ewart said that the Abboud brand offers customers products from an American Designer that are made in the U.S.
