Runners can sense the change of seasons with every breath.  You can feel the crispness of the fall air penetrate your nostrils and fill your lungs.  The air is lighter.  It's more manageable.  This is my favorite time of year to run.

Some people like to run with friends, but for me...this is my alone time.  Most days, it's the only time I'll be alone all day.  It allows me to think.  It allows me to be an individual.

This time of year always reminds me of Sharon.  Her birthday was in the fall, and it was during this time of year that Fun 107 fans were mourning her loss.  It's hard to believe it's been six years.  As I mentioned in my 20 biggest Fun 107 memories from the past 20 years...I can still hear her laugh in my head.

It's important to us hear at Fun 107 to keep Sharon's memory alive.  For years, we've organized Sharon's Walks at Fort Tabor in her memory.  Those walks spawned an event that has morphed into some of the biggest events Fun 107 has ever produced.  The Insane Inflatable 5K.  We're bringing it back to UMass Dartmouth on October 3rd, and we are dedicating two of the waves to the bright, young woman that kept us laughing for so many years on Fun 107.

Sharon's Wave sold out so quickly last fall, that we've created another.  They will be at 11am and 11:30am.  I will be running with a group from Southcoast hospitals, and I'd love you to join us!  A portion of your registration will benefit Southcoast Hospitals Group.  Please consider joining me on Sharon's Wave at the Insane Inflatable 5K.  You can sign up in less than 3 minutes by clicking below.
