Joaquin Phoenix And Emma Stone To Star In Woody Allen Movie Filmed In Rhode Island

Filming for a major movie is coming to Southern New England!

Southern New England is going to be in the spotlight pretty soon with movie stars, Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone filming the next Woody Allen film that will be shot this summer in beautiful Rhode Island!

Although no plot or title has been released, it will be directed by famed Woody Allen.

Film crews are reportedly spying locations in Providence, Newport, and North Kingstown- just some of the few places that make Rhode Island great.

One particular location that was definitely scouted out was University of Rhode Island.

Film prep has already started and shooting will begin in July and run through September.

This has been the first major film to be filmed in Rhode Island since Moonrise Kingdom, filmed in 2011.

This movie seems to have everything it needs to make it a hit- awesome stars, great location and a quirky director!
