As we get ready board Royal Caribbean's huge Explorer of the Seas to set sail on our listener cruise, we thought we would look back at a video we made in 2010 at the Northeastern Maritime Institute in Fairhaven.

This is the school where people go to learn to pilot and work on the big ships, and to become certified ship captains.  The facility includes a state-of-the-art simulator where you can actually practice steering a big ship into any major port.  The instructors at the institute were kind enough to let us give it a try.  We are joined by Pete Braley from our sister station, WBSM-AM.
