Feeling rundown today? They you need to celebrate World Sleep Day!

Most people do not get the proper amount of sleep each night and if you feel like you are one these people, then this day was created for you.

Made official in 2008, World Sleep Day aims to celebrate the benefits of good and healthy sleep while also raising awareness about sleep disorders and how to better understand and prevent them.

I take it as a day that totally encourages me to take a nap...one of my favorite things ever!

Each year the World Sleep Day Committee creates a sleep slogan too. This year's is

When sleep is sound, health and happiness abound"

So if you missed out on sleeping in to celebrate today, know that World Sleep Day happens every year on the Friday of the second full week of March.
