It's the Spirit of Somerset

On Saturday, September 16th, the 16th annual Spirit of Somerset event will take place, with a special new ride this year!

This year, the event will include ferry rides in the Taunton River, from the state pier at Village Park to Battleship Cove. The ferry rides on Saturday will run from noon to 5 PM with the last boarding at 4 PM. Included on the ferry ride, the Taunton River Stewardship Council and Richard Ashcroft of Somerset will tell some history of the different sites along the Taunton River.

Other activities include the Soap Box Derby at noon, an auto show from 10-4, and games, bands, food, dancing, animals, and so much more going on throughout the day. The kids will love it!
