The ULTIMATE "s-word" made landfall early this morning in Massachusetts.

I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that snowfall dusted a Massachusetts town around 1 a.m. this morning. The good news is that we, the SouthCoast, are miles away from it.

Our good friend and ABC 6 Meteorologist Chelsea Priest confirmed with Fun 107 that, yes, the areas of Westminster and Winchendon in Central Massachusetts received a powder coating of snow as shown below:

A listener sent us these photos from her house in Westminster, proving the recent snowfall:

What does this mean for us? Good question.

Absolutely nothing (for now). Yes, it's cold outside, but this is New England, and these cold temperatures are typical this time of year. The closer we creep into the winter months, the more likely we'll start to see a change in atmospheric pressure and temperature, eventually getting some snow.

It's ok to bundle up, but thankfully there's no need to throw on the snow boots just yet.
