The very popular annual Apple-Peach Festival, to celebrate the harvest in the apple and peach orchards of the area, is this weekend.   Thousands of people will converge on the small New England town beginning Saturday morning.

The fun begins at the Long Plain Museum on Main Street at 10 a.m. Saturday.   There is no charge for admission or parking, and these is even shuttle bus service from Acushnet Middle School.

This years festival features entertainment, a craft fair, great food, and a parade that marches at 10 Sunday morning from Pope Park.   The Apple-Peach Festival in Acushnet is a good way to spend some outdoor time with the family.
