More than 20,000 people are expected at Fall River's Day Of Portugal this weekend.  It will be their biggest celebration yet with amazing food, entertainment and activities.

Free trolley service will be provided between the Gates and several identified parking lots, including the Santo Christo Church and Milliken Parking Garage, among others.

Gates of the City that will include multiple international and local music acts, topnotch soccer, traditional foods and activities for the entire family.

According to Heraldnews, the Portugal celebration begins at 6 p.m. on June 17th. There will be a flag raising ceremony on Ponta Delgado Boulevard. Kasey Geronimo will be singing the American and Portuguese anthems. At 7:30 there will be a Portuguese Kids comedy troupe, Manuel dos D'Alma will be singing at 8 p.m., and the pop-rock band named Ménage at 9:30 p.m.

On the 18th, people will gather to play soccer. Two giant LED screens will be put up for people to view the Portugal vs. Austria soccer game. The kick-off begins at 3 p.m.

The day after, there will be a Kid's Fair at 1 p.m. Activities include horse and pony rides, face painting, super heroes, and New England Revolution mascot. That night at 6 p.m. the Azorean Cultural Society Folkloric Group will be performing. Followed by the Band Faith at 7 p.m. and Jorge Ferreira at 8 p.m.

As if that wasn't enough fun, there will be a raffle off by the committee. They will be giving away a brand new car, a trip to Portugal, 52" HDTV, and a prize package from the New England Revolution.
