We're still not sure if UMass did this on purpose or is the butt of the joke.

Browsing through the internet during my downtime, I came across this Reddit post showing off a gray zip hoodie in the 'Crappy Design' subreddit. The hoodie is from my alma mater, UMass Dartmouth, and it definitely made me do a double take.

Now I'm not sure if this was done on purpose or it was just a really... really bad coincidence but that sweatshirt's design makes me feel uncomfortable.

On one hand, you can see it being one big prank pulled by some of the students in the campus store. They'd propose the sweatshirt idea and give their fellow students a wink as their supervisor approves of the design, knowing that their prank would soon be worn by incoming freshmen and their proud parents. But on the other hand, it could EASILY just be the most unfortunate design flaw ever.

I've seen this same print on loads of UMass apparel. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, lanyards, and book bags all use this font and print style. Why not throw it on a zip-up hoodie and get a couple more bucks from the students and alum?

At the end of the day though, this sweatshirt is a fashion statement. Every student should be walking around campus in this sweatshirt. Parties in the Cedar Dells should have coat racks filled with these sweatshirts. The commencement speaker for this year's graduation should proudly be wearing this specific sweatshirt over their graduation gown. Wear it proud, Corsairs.
