Apple just announced the brand new iPhone, dubbed iPhone 5, at the latest press conference. It's thinner, it's faster, and it's now 4G LTE compatible! Since this iPhone 5 is longer, it can have an extra row of icons that the iPhone 4 and 4S doesn't have. Thanks for finally jumping on the 4G bandwagon, Apple.

The phone has a 4-inch 1,136 x 640 pixel display, 4G LTE connectivity, A6 chip, weights 112 grams - 18 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter than iPhone 4S

As expected, the iPhone 5 will run on iOS 6, and the 30 pin connector on the bottom of the phone has been replaced, and video can be recorded in 1080p. To me, it doesn't look that much different with the exception of more icons.

The iPhone 5 will is available in white or black and will retail for $199 for 16GB mode, $299 for 32GB model and $399 for 64GB model. Pre-orders start Sept. 14 and the phone will be in stores on Sept. 21 in the U.S, Canada, U.K. France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. More countries will see the iPhone 5 on Sept. 28.

My only problem like you is I'm stuck in a current contract, and most likely, oh who am I kidding, I'm pretty sure I won't be getting this phone until our contract expires. Look on the bright side, only 365 more days until the next iPhone!
