Navigating any job fair can be overwhelming.  We want you to get the most out of your experience and have used some tips from QuintCareers.com to get you there. Remember, job fairs can be very helpful tools in your job-search journey if you are prepared going into them.

Review the List of Attendees:  We’ve got a complete list of companies who’ll be on-site at the event.  Make yourself a list of who you’d like to connect with. Take the time to research the companies ahead of time so you can ask specific questions about each. Be prepared to answer the very basic interview question, “Why do you want to work here?” and save yourself the embarrassment of asking the recruited “What does your company do?”

Have a Strategy:  If you only have your lunch break to get in and get out, a strategy will help you make the most of your time.  Know what types of industries and companies you want to connect with and skip the ones that do not interest you.

Perfect Your Elevator Pitch:  Your 30 second “About Me” speech should tell someone the unique benefits you have to offer.

Use Your Manners:  When approaching a recruiter, be sure to not interrupt their current conversations; wait patiently.  Use the time to build a relationship with them but don’t monopolize their time.

Timing: Don't feel like you have to be the first one in line- employers will be on site from 12pm - 5pm.
