Want to have sexy, toned arms in time for your wedding day? No need to invest in weights, DVDs or expensive exercise equipment. These simple at home exercises can have you  lean and mean in no time!

With lots of summer weddings here on the Southcoast, it's no wonder strapless dresses are all the rage year after year. That means lots of exposed arms and plenty of ladies who want to tone up for the big day.

As Lara and Angela from Boutique Fitness know, getting sexy, lean arms is about more than just a few bicep curls. In fact, the ladies say pumping iron can actually just build girth, making your arms look wider rather than leaner. But this video featuring Lara is a quick, complete way to get your heart rate up, your arms lean and your abs firm.

In about three minutes you can cover it all...and right in your own living room!

Here's what the workout consists of:

Staggered Pushup:

A pushup is essentially a plank in motion. Make sure to keep the core tight (like you're shrink wrapping your spine with all your core muscles). One arm should be positioned with the elbow close to your rib cage...this will target the triceps more. The other arm should be positioned out wide like a goalie post...this will target the pecs more.

High knee jog:

Keep the knees up as high as possible - this will work the abs and keep your heart rate super elevated. Remember we need the cardio!

Full Contact Push-up with Stabilizer:

Keep your core tight as possible as you push the floor away. Focus on lowering the chest to the floor first and lifting up with the hips first. When you open up into stabilizer keep the core firm, hips up (no sagging!) and reach tall for the ceiling (avoid twisting and reaching back). Return to center and back into your full contact push-up.

Plank with 1/2  I & T:

In a strong straight arm plank, keep your hips square with the floor and work one arm at a time. Raise one arm overhead, keeping it perfectly straight and thumb turned up toward the ceiling. Dip it down toward the floor a lift it back up to the side - in line with your shoulder. Again, the thumb should be turned up toward the ceiling.

Here's how the above video combines these exercises for a complete arms, core, cardio routine!
