It's stink bug season and I have been finding these buggers in my house for days! If you have the same issue, here is a quick, easy way to eliminate them.

Stink bugs are everywhere, but you certainly don't want them in your home.

These flat, brown bugs are actually native to Asia, but were accidentally introduced to the U.S. in the mid-90's when they hitched a ride in some packing crates headed for Pennsylvania.

Now they are everywhere damaging crops and trees and basically annoying millions of home owners.

So if you want them gone, but also want to skip the expensive, complicated treatments and sprays...this simple method from researchers at Virginia Tech University is the way to go!

You can get rid of the invasive stink bugs in 3 simple steps.

  1. Get a large pan (your best bet is a disposable aluminum one from the dollar store)
  2. Fill your pan with a mixture of water and dish soap
  3. Shine a desk lamp on your pan of water

Basically the light on the water (in a dark room of course) will attract the stink bugs who then fall into the water and drown.

It's quick, it's easy and according to the Virginia Tech University researchers, it works better than anything out there that you can buy.

So long stink bugs!
