How The Cape Cod Hedge Keeps It’s Shape [VIDEO]

Only in Massachusetts, Do we take so much pride in our rotaries! For nearly 30 years, the Cape Cod "Hedge" inside the Bourne Rotary has been welcoming motorists as they exit the Bourne Bridge after crawling their way on Cape.

Born of the state highway beautification program in 1985, care of the hedge and surrounding landscape is the responsibility of Joseph Agrillo Jr., a Bourne landscaper, and here is the crazy part, he does it for free!!! Not a single nickle!  Accoding to THe Cape Cod Times, Agrillo has been the master of the landmark since 1989, when he was asked to participate in the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's Adopt-A-Visibility Site Program.

Long live the Cape hedge!
