How My Hair Changed When I Got Bangs

I've had bangs now for about a year and a half, but before that I had the same boring hairstyle for more than 20 years!

I think I left my hair the same for two reasons, 1) it was super easy to manage, long, straight, no bangs, simple! 2) I was afraid of change.

Finally, I knew it was time for a change last year and I bit the bullet and did it. While at my routine highlight appointment, I asked my hairdresser to give me bangs. You know what? I loved them! They are so cute, and I wish I had gotten them earlier! My husband also liked them, he said it looked like he had a "new wife".

As much as I love having them, they come with a small price to pay...and that is time. It takes time to style them each morning and also, they grow so fast! Most times I end up trimming them myself because they are so long and it's in between salon appointments.

My favorite thing about having bangs though, is that it has made my hair versatile. I can blow dry them and wear them down, or I can sweep them to the side, or if I don't have time to do anything with them, which is totally me lately, I hold them back with a couple of bobby pins! Easy!

So long to boring, same old hair and hello to hair versatility with bangs!
