How Do You Avoid A Dentist Disaster?

I thought I had it, I prepared the little one for the trip to the dentist, had the bribes in place, the reward ready.

Then we got in the chair – DISASTER! Crying, kicking, trying to get out the chair, you name it. As much patients as I have, it was very difficult to remain that way, but I did…What i didn’t do was lose my temper, or get overly upset.

But, what about next time? Does ANYONE have any tricks to making the dentist a better experience for a 4 year old? The part that we really get stuck with is when they go to put that florid stuff on her teeth. THAT’S where we lose all control. HELP!

Do you have any dentist advice for Scott?
