1. Library Assistant I Teen #5042055 - The New Bedford Free Public Library is seeking to hire a part-time Teen Assistant to work at the two Teen Rooms at the Lawler and Howland-Green Branches.
Assists in recruiting volunteers for and interacts with the Teen Advisory Board. Solicits participants, and develops cooperation and collaboration between the local schools and the library. Implements programs and events at the Teen Rooms, and assists in any other tasks as needed for this grant. Contributes to the smooth operation of daily functions by completing assigned projects without ongoing supervision. Establishes and maintains harmonious working relationships with others.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. Two years of college or appropriate public library experience with an automated library system preferred. Individual must possess working knowledge of library principles, methods and procedures; good communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with others; attention to detail, sound judgment. Ability to type at least twenty words per minute. Should be familiar with working with the 'tween and teen population, possess good organizational skills, and have some experience in working with and encouraging teenleaders.

2. Welcome Center/Child Watch #5046915 - Flexibility is a must! This is a 10 hour a week position.
This welcome center position will represent the YMCA personally, professionally and in a manner in accordance with the mission and goals of the YMCA. Responsibilities include: collecting daily passes, membership and program sales, answering a multi-line phone system, providing all membership and program information, knowing policies and procedures as well as implementing them. Qualified candidates must be organized, flexible, creative and possess excellent public relations skills. Must be good with children an able to connect with parents on their children's needs. 3. Yoga/Pilates Instructor #5056363 - The Gleason Family YMCA, a division YMCA Southcoast is looking for experienced Pilates & Yoga Instructors for group sessions.
Candidates must have a true passion for Pilates and/or Yoga and an outgoing personality. Must be able to help our members obtain their health and wellness goals and be able to teach all ages.
Must have experience in leading a class in Pilates and/or Yoga. Certification not mandatory but is a plus.

4. Executive Director #5056363 - A unique opportunity for a dynamic and successful YMCA professional director to lead a 7,800 member branch serving the greater Wareham area. The Ys facility opened in 2004 and has proven to be a tremendous community asset. The Gleason Family YMCA provides a full-range of membership and programmatic offerings, including wellness, aquatics, school-age child care, summer camp and youth sports. This state of the art branch just completed its latest facility addition which included an outdoor pool w/water features, new adult locker rooms w/steam & sauna and a second group ex studio.
The position reports to the Vice President of Operations and must possess excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills to positively engage and develop the full and part-time staff team. Candidate must also have demonstrated success and experience in annual fund raising, facility management oversight and board development.
The primary responsibility is for the leadership and administration of the strategic plan, budget, programs and services of the branch. Duties include the Annual Campaign, new membership strategies, program development, facility/property management, board development, capital development, marketing, and staff supervision.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to create successful and strategic relationships with influential leaders and members of the community and an ability to leverage those relationships to enhance support for the Y mission. Candidates will be evaluated on their prior experience and success in these areas as well as maintaining a superior member experience and outstanding customer service.
Minimum Criteria for candidates:
Accredited 4-year college degree.
Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and personal values consistent with the YMCA mission.
Minimum five years prior experience in a senior management role with a YMCA or related experience at a comparable organization with direct supervision of multiple levels of staff and employees.
Proven ability as a fundraiser.

Two plus years' experience in a human services environment; excellent computer skills; ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment; skill in interpersonal communication and customer relations. Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation.

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Sociology or related field; social work license (LSW or higher) preferred. Knowledge of procedures and practices relating to benefits and services available to older adults, caregivers and individuals with disabilities; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Three to five years' experience in a human services environment; excellent computer skills; ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment; skill in interpersonal communication and customer relations; ability to travel and reliable means of transportation
