Hot Air Balloon Festival Coming To URI

The South County Hot Air Balloon festival is back for it's 39th year and there is plenty of family fun on the ground and in the air!

July 21,22 and 23 hot air balloons will fill the athletic fields on the campus of URI in Kingston, RI.

Event hours are Friday July 21 - 4p-10p

                          Saturday July 22 - 5:30a-10p

                          Sunday July 23 - 5:30a - 8p 

This family friendly event features bounce houses, train rides, face painting, a carnival, food, live music and of course plenty of hot air balloons!

Live entertainment from the Anastasini Family Circus and Bwana Jim's Wildlife Show will be on going throughout the weekend as well and there's a performance from Roomful of Blues on Friday night and fireworks on Saturday night.

Plus you can go up in a hot air balloon (weather permitting)! There are tethered balloon rides morning and night throughout the weekend.

And at night stay to see the hot air balloons lit up for Hot Air Balloon Glow.

All in all there's plenty to see at this weekend-long event that is definitely worth the trip.
