Homeless advocates are expected to converge on New Bedford City Hall later this morning.

Peter Costa, founder of the New Bedford Homeless Advocates group, posted on Facebook Sunday calling for the rally after the City failed to open the emergency overflow shelter Saturday night despite extreme cold. Through the online posting, Costa urged supporters to protest at 9am on the steps of City Hall.
