The original 19-foot-long black, bubble topped car used in the 1960's "Batman" TV show sold for $4.2 million at an auction Saturday.

The car is actually a transformed 1955 Lincoln concept car that was customized for the TV series. The iconic vehicle was used by Adam West when he starred as Batman and by his sidekick Robin who was known for exclamations beginning with the word "Holy..."

The sale happened at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Co. in Scottsdale, Arizona. They revealed the selling price but not the name of the person who bought the Batmobile.
