The past year has been very hard on the Vasquez family. Their father / primary provider was killed in a motorcycle accident, forcing Mom, Tishia, and boys into a shelter when they could no longer afford stable housing. While at the shelter, the boys took on various roles to help and essentially found structure in that environment. They are described as extremely polite, compassionate and always willing to help. Tishia was also active in helping other Spanish-speaking shelter residents acclimate to their new surroundings.

Now that the family is able to move out of the shelter into an apartment, Tishia is struggling to pull together very basic household items like bedding, kitchen essentials, towels and other furnishings. With five boys, she is unable to pay for all five to do things like get haircuts or buy them new shoes because if you buy for one, you need to buy for the other four. Mom works five days a week in Newport, so she also has a long commute from Fall River.

Tishia could even use help with things like grocery cards, gas cards and Target or WalMart gift cards.
