GNB Voc-Teach Senior's future brightens ten-fold thanks to our Holiday Wish program!

If you were listening this morning, you heard Anthony's story - one tragically filled with hardships, evictions, incarcerations and hunger. Anthony, who is set to graduate from GNBVT in the Spring from the HVAC shop, caught a major break in life thanks to our listeners and local business owners.

Thanks to the generosity of our listeners and those who were touched by Anthony's story, we were able to raise over $2,000 for Anthony and his 12 and 5-year-old brothers. Kia of Dartmouth donated $500 AND matched the first $2,000 collected from listeners.

Other local businesses also pitched in to help Anthony: Tropical Smoothie in Fairhaven, Air Distribution Systems, Island Travel, New Bedford Barber Company, Next Level in Painting, JC Penney Dartmouth, Downtown's Finest, Couto Construction and On Point Home Improvement called in to donate money, year's worth of haircuts, tools and clothes for Anthony. Churrascaria Novo Mundo in New Bedford made a generous $1,000 donation to Anthony and their customers a whopping $500!

Acushnet Creamery will also be donating 100% of the proceeds from an event on Saturday at their ice cream shop - get a small, vanilla sundae for FREE with any donation to Anthony and his brothers. The event takes place from 12-8 p.m., Saturday 12/10!

If you would like to donate to Anthony, please text WISH to 313131.

On behalf of Fun 107 and the United Way of Greater New Bedford, we thank you for your help in granting some wishes this holiday season!
