Ready to get in the holiday spirit? So is downtown New Bedford!

Family fun for all ages will be happening in downtown New Bedford this December for the free Holiday Stroll on Saturday December 1st.

The event kicks off at the Zeiterion at 12 noon with cookies, cocoa and craft activities for the kids.

The three-hour event will also feature the Dartmouth High School acapella vocal group Harmonix, singing holiday hits and more from 12 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.

NBSO Violinist Travis Rapoza will perform holiday classics from 1 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.

And Your Theatre Inc. will present holiday readings for the whole family from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

New Bedford's tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for 5 p.m., with a free showing of Home Alone taking place at the Z  at 7 p.m. thanks to the Mayor and the City of New Bedford.

All-in-all Saturday December 1st is going to be a very festive day in downtown New Bedford. So get the family together and get down there to enjoy as much of the free fun as you can.

And maybe even start some holiday shopping!
