Heroin, Cocaine, Mushrooms and Marijuana Found in New Bedford Apartment

NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police find 67 bags of heroin and other assorted drugs during a search of a Division Street apartment.

The search warrant was carried out by the New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit at an apartment at 43 Division Street at 10:15 p.m. Thursday night. During the search, police found 25.4 grams of heroin, one bag of cocaine, one bag of psychedelic mushrooms, one bag of marijuana, a digital scale, packaging materials, and $3,991 in cash.

Police arrested the occupant of the apartment, Frances Justiniano, 33, and Nathan Medeiros, 33, of New Bedford.

Both are charged with trafficking in heroin and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
