FALL RIVER - Two men are nabbed in Fall River after a hectic police chase.

Tuesday at about 3 p.m., an officer on patrol on a bicycle recognized a blue Honda Accord being driven by Bailey Rodrigues, 20, of Somerset, in the area of Pleasant and Quarry Streets. The officer knew Rodrigues did not have a valid license, and began to follow the car.

That's when the vehicle turned into the Flint Village Plaza and drove at a high rate of speed through the parking lot, jumping over a curb and sidewalk and onto Quarry Street. The Honda sped south on Quarry Street into oncoming traffic, and turned onto Alden Street, where the driver may have fled the vehicle.

Police searched the area on foot while other officers stopped the vehicle on East Warren Street. The new driver, David Hudson, 22, of Fall River, was found in possession of over two grams of marijuana and a digital scale.

Rodrigues was caught on a Pleasant Street rooftop after a brief foot chase.

Rodrigues is charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle after license suspension, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest.

Hudson faces charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug.
