Massachusetts State Police have reportedly recovered a gun used in a 2012 double murder that has been linked to Former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez.   The .38-caliber revolver was found in a car driven by 19-year-old Jailene Diaz-Ramos, who was involved in an accident in Longmeadow in June.

Police also say they found several rounds of ammo that Diaz-Ramos was not licensed to carry.  Sources say that ballistics tests revealed that the weapon was involved in the unsolved double homicide in downtown Boston.   Witnesses say the gunfire that killed the two men came from an SUV with Rhode Island plates.

Hernandez has plead not guilty to the murder of Odin Lloyd, whose body was found near his home in June.   He is now being held without bail at the Bristol County House of Correction in Dartmouth.

Prosecutors say Hernandez killed Lloyd because he knew about the killings and was talking to others at a Boston night club.  His lawyers say the case against him is circumstantial and they are confident he will be exonerated.
