Great White Shark Caught By 6-Year-Old Fishing Off Cape Cod

A six-year-old boy hooked a great white shark on Saturday while fishing with his family off of Cape Cod.

The family was fishing off Rock Harbor in Cape Cod Bay and according to the Cape Cod Times there are no reports of anyone hooking a great white that deep in the bay before.

The family told the paper that the boy called to his dad to help him reel in what he thought was a massive striped bass and it was over an hour before they realized they were towing a great white shark around the bay.

When the shark did surface, the family got some pictures of their catch then they cut the line and the shark swam away.
