Good Start For Jillian Zucco At The Miss America Pageant

By the end of this weekend, Jillian Zucco could be the new Miss America.  Let that sink in for a minute.  The sleepy little seaside community of Mattapoisett could be home to Miss America!  It's been an incredible year for Jillian Zucco.  This weekend's competition has already begun down in Atlantic City, and Jillian's team has contacted Fun 107 with some great news.

Jillian received two special awards last night.  She was the 2nd runner up the Children's Miracle Maker Award for raising over $14000 since she was crowned, earning a $2000 scholarship.

She was also one of three STEM award winners from five finalists who were interviewed by a special panel of judges.  That earned her an additional $5000 scholarship.

The 97th annual Miss America pageant airs live from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall this Sunday, September 10th at 9 pm on ABC.
