June is National Camping Month, so get outside!

We’ve found four of the best spots to camp under the stars throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and you’re going to want to roll-up those sleeping bags ASAP.

Normandy Farms Camping Resort, Foxboro: If you aren't quite into roughing it, have no fear. This campground offers a few glamping options for those of you who need a little bit of life's finer things (read: electric fireplaces and ceiling fans). Find your camping happy-medium in one of their safari tents or book a yurt if that's more your style.

Canoe River, Mansfield: This is a great spot if you need something to do between Boston and Cape Cod. Not only will you find a number of wooded, family friendly campsites but the property also features canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and rowboats for rent, fishing (no license required), and its own general store to buy the stuff you forgot to bring. Find it on Facebook to see if your camping trip starts here.

Boston/Cape Cod KOA, Middleboro: This family-friendly favorite is located right in Middleboro, despite its name. With RV sites, cabins, and tent sites available, there’s plenty of ways to get your family into the wood. But it’s not all "roughing it" once you get there. Try all the fun stuff like a mini golf course, pool, or catch a flick under the stars at the outdoor movie theater. Follow them on Instagram and see what the hype is all about.

Massasoit State Park, Taunton: You may not know it, but Taunton has been hiding this gem for a LONG time. Grab your mountain bikes and walking shoes because you’ll want to hit the trails in between your sunrise kayak session and your campfire S’mores fest. And oh yeah, bring your doggo, because this campsite is dog-friendly. Can’t stay for too long? You can still use the park for day trips just the same.

Whether you are pitching a tent in the backyard or packing it up for a two-month stay, there is no better way to get back to nature than by living in it for a little while.
