NEW BEDFORD - MA

Nearly 100 Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational-Technical High School students were in school today learning how to be freshman mentors to benefit the overall learning experience of those students.

In the presentation, courage and character were stressed, as the school feels those 2 keys are a priority for success.

Eventually, the school would like there to be a mentor for every incoming freshman by 2024, but for now mentors are being assigned to the incoming freshman who scored in the bottom 10 percent of the their class.
