Hold on to your McKinley High letterman jackets! It looks like 'Glee' star Lea Michele is about make her Rachel Berry dreams a reality, as she's set to record her very first full length album!

"Just had a very exciting music meeting and am proud to announce that im officially on the road to making my first album! I'm so excited!" she tweeted on Tuesday (Sept. 18). "There's so much to be thankful for right now. Feeling so blessed and thankful. And I couldn't do it without all of you! Love you guys!"

'Glee' just began its fourth season last week, so Michele's announcement is oddly perfect timing considering her character Rachel would kill for the opportunity to record an album. She said goodbye to small town Ohio in favor of the bright lights of New York City, and while studying at NYADA, a fictional performing arts school, her dance teacher Cassandra July (played by Kate Hudson, who's a delight) has been a serious hater. And we kind of love that.

"You basically have the kids who have graduated and their story lines, as well as the kids back in high school," explained Michele to MTV. "I think it'll be really great because it gives us the opportunity for the characters who have been on the show for a while to move on and to start new story lines, but then the kids who are newer on the show will get to continue on."

And nothing says "opportunity" and "moving on" like recording an album outside of 'Glee!'
